Any cashier who handles your card at point of sale might memorise/note down your card number, exp. date etc BUT, surely the cardholder is not liable for the transaction if the crook used the card details to make an online purchase without the actual card being present? If the merchant who accepted the transaction can't produce a signed receipt his end, then the card owner is not liable? please comment. Jim");
