Personally I agve back my card and told them I did not need it, they suggested a credit increase for me to keep my card - why ? Each month I paid what was due - in full. document.write("We only have ourselves to blame for the banks' currently strict lending policies,and not the economic crisis or the unions etc... <br />- 50% of all home loan applications are turned down because the applicants are over-indebted - what does that tell you? These people have been living beyond their means! Nobody, not even the banks or estate agents etc, has told us to stop saving!As far as I am concerned, the only thing you should take out a loan for is a house. You can save for your own car and pay for it in cash if you have enough vision, willpower and determination. If you are borriowing too much, you only have yourself to blame. You won't believe what I saw at Woolworths this morning - a young, obviously upper middle class woman, with a baby on her hip, PAYING LISTS AND LISTS OF CREDIT CARD BILLS - FOR GROCERIES!!<br />Obviously some of us take out credit for EVERYTHING - homes, cars, groceries, toiletries, petrol...When are we ever going to learn? Mark paid what he thought the property was worth, obviously or he should not have bought it. The problem comes in because no one has equity in their properties. Every owner should have at least 20 % equity in his property otherwise you are just a sitting duck waiting for the market to turn and when it does you cant pay your bond and you cant afford to sell either! document.write("I've yet to feel comfortable with any estate agent, and I've dealt with dozens over the years.<br />Yes there is one who has been named that has in many peoples opinion is the ring leader increasing prices in the upmarket areas.<br />FNB had/have a package where you can dump all your debt home loan etc into one account. That is a totally irresponsible thing for a bank to do. They should held responsible for those who are now deeper in the mire.
