Consider saving at least half of what you paid yourself in a place where you cannot access it.
- Visualise yourself in five, ten, 15 years from now. Think how much money you'll have saved by then. Imagine the same future, without any savings. Which future would you like to be real?
Who is wealthier, the guy who earns R100 000 each month, but spends it all or the one who makes only R10 000, but saves R1000?
Forget what you earn, if you want to be rich you've got to save a portion of your income before you buy groceries, before you pay the bills, before you do anything.
It's hard to save, but not impossible. Simply pay yourself first?
